I expected something nice, but was pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of the plant. Gorgeous!!This is the first time I've bought a plant online (I have over 70 plants and if I break my "in person only" rule I would have one of everything available and I'd have to sell all my furniture to make room). I couldn't find a monstera in person that was 1) way too big, part of the joy of plants for me is having them grow with me so I can reflect and say "it was only a foot tall when I bought it 30 years ago" or 2) way too expensive.Even at $50 this is the most I've paid for a plant, but I think it will be worth it. I have read a lot online about being duped into buying an expensive monstera only to find out it never grows its signature leaves and you were sold a plain philodendron instead.This plant is about 16" tall, in a decently sized pot, but I can tell its roots are begging for more room so it will be getting repotted. All the leaves are healthy except one that has a pretty unfortunate placed tear, but it's not noticeable if you are not inspecting your new plant. The stems are healthy and unbroken. It arrived soaking wet but it only took two days to ship so I'm sure they were trying to prevent the plant from drying out and arriving crispy and dead.The packaging was decent, it probably could have used some more "padding" around it but it arrived just fine either way.I'm pleased with my order and I'm already on their website looking for more, and breaking my "In person only" rule again... oh well!I've never ordered a plant online before, (everything else, including fish, yes...houseplant, no) and was a little nervous. When it arrived, the box was a little crushed, and I got even more nervous. But after opening the box, unwrapping, and sitting the plant upright, I was so excited! This thing is HUGE and beautiful! It is so large that I had to stake it so it would stay upright. I underestimated the size, and two bags of indoor potting soil isn't enough to repot it. While it's acclimating to the new environment, I ordered more soil. If it doesn't do well after repotting, I will update my review, but as of now I am ecstatic! This Monstera is a monster! Very healthy with only one yellowing leaf. Part of me wishes it wasn't fully grown, I like to buy my plants as babies, but this is just so gorgeous that I don't mind. It arrived super fast as well, about 4 days earlier than expected.It’s a beautiful plant and was well packaged. It’s growing like mad and sending up little babies and the babies are growing like mad! I am going to purchase another.I decided to purchase this plant online because the local plant store was asking an astronomical price. I have ordered smaller plants online and luckily were delivered successfully. Decided to give a larger one a try. After reading reviews here and on Brighter Blooms website, I sensed it wouldn’t be a problem. It arrived faster than expected and it was packed very well for its journey. I unpacked it immediately, it was nice and lush. I gave it a good drink with plant food, placed it in its planter and let it settle for the night.The next day I inspected it. It had only a couple of leaves that were a bit damaged but, nothing was dying or needed trimming. In fact, it had a few new blooms. I’ve had it for 2 weeks now and it has already produced 3 new leaves.Based, on this purchase, I would highly recommended this vendor for live plants at a reasonable price.Ordered two. Growing like champs. Even ordered another plant from them.Sturdy, came on time. Damaged leaves on one11/27 Update: I received my replacement plant and it’s so much healthier and fuller. It’s not fully mature yet so only a few of the leaves have splits but I’m looking forward to seeing what patterns the new growth will have. Customer service was excellent. They shipped a new plant as soon as they were able and I received it super quick.11/16- Updated to 3 stars solely for customer service. I reached out to them and they were so quick and helpful. I’ll update the review again when the replacement plant gets here.Initial Review: My experience doesn’t match the other reviews. I received a pretty bare plant with half dead/ half broken leaves and all of the roots coming through the surface of the soil which clearly indicates it should have been repotted. Plant does not look healthy at all and there is clearly some type of infestation in the soil.
