I own several of these in the 6" and 8" sizes, both the khaki and platinum colors. I've purchased them in several different rounds and like them quite a bit.They're compact, without taking up a ton of additional space around the pots, and they're fairly shallow as well (the plastic is about 3/8" deep). In these smaller sizes, the plastic platform seems quite sturdy and I'm not worried about it falling out, even when I have plants in heavy clay or ceramic pots sitting on top. They don't hold a ton of water, but I'm really only using them for accidental overflows anyway -- not as the primary water-catchers. I don't know how the largest diameter would hold up long-term, but you can always put something under the center as a brace if you're worried.These have the three little feet on them and they are a metallic substance of some kind. If you put them on glass or fresh paint and are worried about scratching, you might put a little felt circle on the bottom to avoid issues. I have them sitting on painted windowsills, a painted balcony railing, and my desk and haven't had any problems. Overall, they look great and help to pull the overall "look" of a variety of different pots and plants together for a nicer aesthetic, while also protecting my furniture and house -- a win-win as far as I'm concerned!
