As a Ghost in the Shell collector: I am thrilled to own thisAs a Ghost in the Shell fan: I am thrilled to own thisThis is probably one of my favorite motokos for display due to its combination of good posability, nicely executed jumpsuit, good face sculpt and it is not overly complex.As a display item it just looks good and really well finished.One has to take care not to overstress the jumpsuit with poses as I have read blogs of people tearing the material when trying to do too much with it.The accessories included are limited -- mainly a rifle, a pistol and various hands.The figure appears to be fairly durable as long as you don't overstress the jumpsuit with poses.The neck joint seems pretty limited although I prefer this over a figure that has so much neck joint that the neck just ends up wobbly. The neck joint for this motoko figure is firm and will probably never have a looseness issue due to how it is constructed and the materials used.The straps are connected to plastic with some kind of glue so one has to be aware of that and not pull things apart by accident. The lower body armor piece is molded together and not removable through any normal means.The quality control of this item could be better -- I actually have 2 of these and one of them has an issue where the sheathed knife was glued to the body armor at an outward angle such that it sticks out quite a bit more than it should -- and so much glue was used in that one case that there is no moving it w/o damaging the plastic knife.Any fan of Ghost in the Shell would appreciate this figure. The joints are all tight and all concealed by the Major's bodysuit. She's highly articulated and the suit does not restrict the joints range of movement whatsoever. The head sculpt is spot on to the Stand Alone Complex version of Motoko, her suit and equipment is based off of the Solid State Society animated film that followed the second season of SAC. To be quite honest, when I leave her in some poses, she looks like she stepped right off of the show. An absolutely spectacular figure of the highest quality. The only negative I could find was that her knife is sculpted into the sheath and cannot be removed. Other than that, it's 100% top notch.
