I keep one of my old laptops behind our TV to stream and play family videos from the computer to the TV. We have 4 cats, and 2 of them like to take a "shortcut" behind the TV to cross the room. They would step all over the keyboard, stopping shows, skipping to the next episode, or change some setting on my computer that could take hours to figure out how to fix. This is unfortunately not as wide as my laptop, but it at least covers the keyboard completely and solved the cat problem.I loved everything about it, felt nice & sturdy, crystal clear, just the right height, and exactly 17" wide. My 17" keyboard just doesn't fit, so I returned this one and got a wider one.Very thick and sturdy for 24 “ desktop computer.I have cats that are constantly walking on my keyboard, but this little bridge has solved my problem.My keyboard slides just beneath it. I can pull it out if I need to, but now it's protected from both dust and feline creative writing. Just remember to measure the length of your keyboard before ordering.Now all I have to do is figure out how to keep the cats from sitting on it, in front of my face. :-)Started WfH due to the pandemic and couldn't keep cats off my keyboard. NOTHING worked! This was the solution I needed!Great hight between my keboard and bottom of ledge. VERY durable and easy to clean.I added tiny "bumper pads" to the edges of the "legs" to prevent scratches on my desk. I also measured wrong and didn't account for the thickness of the acrylic, so the keyboard I initially planned to use wouldn't fit.I bought this for my boyfriend for his home office and it has (literally) elevated his work space! We love the transparency of the laptop stand and how it doesn’t add visual clutter to our small desk. The handles (?) are nice too because we can run cords through them if needed. Love it!I was originally planning on setting this over my laptop keyboard to keep my cat from walking on it, but it turns out just setting my laptop on top of this stand makes it too much effort for my cat to step on the keyboard. Conveniently, there's enough room underneath to fit a ps4 controller and tv remotes comfortably.The item was well packaged (double boxed with plastic and air pillows). But upon opening, the thing had some tiny scratches on it...most likely from before shipping. Aside from that the stand is nice and sturdy. It came with a cleaning cloth.
