We love these caddies, we've purchased several sets. Unfortunately, the latest set uses o-ring washers instead of the flat washers on our earlier order. We've had no problems with the older caddies but the new ones leak - the o-ring does not completely seal. I had to add a silicone sealer to completely seal where the drain goes through the pan. Not a big issue but the old design was better.Sturdy, stable, and rolls on my brick patio. Thumbs up!Some Amazon reviews seem to appear to generic, and I often wonder if they are used for related objects on Amazon, but are not really written specifically for the item being reviewed. To that end, please note that I am reviewing the ‘Plant Caddy, Morntek 15.94" Heavy Duty Metal Potted Plant Stand with Iron Wheels and Drain Hole’.I carefully read most of the previous reviews before purchasing two of these wheeled drain pans, and can now say that they are just what we were looking for. We have them under two larger ceramic pots, each weighing 20 pounds empty, and each with a tapered diameter, the widest point being about 19”.Here is what I want to share with you:1. The pan is very sturdy: The number '400' is molded in to the bottom of the pan, and I am pretty certain this device could manage that much in U.S. pounds. It might only be a model reference, but the pan certainly is sturdy.2. The reported concern of the drain spout leaking: A few of the reviewers mentioned not being able to tighten the nut on the spout because someone designed it poorly. To the contrary, the designer was quite thoughtful in her / his design. The threaded male end of the spout has a rubber washer and a round plastic nut to hold it on the tray. The trick is to be sure the rubber washer is against the metal underneath, as you pass the threaded male end through and in to the pan. The plastic nut is then threaded on, and you tighten it as much as you can with your fingers. Here is the key: from this point, use the leverage of the angled drain spout as a ‘wrench’ as you simply turn it in the ‘righty-tighty’ direction to secure it on the pan. The plastic nut does not spin with your turning of the spout, and the fit is snug as it needs to be. Nicely done.3. Miscellaneous notes:• The drain pan has no holder to allow it to slide in and out of the underneath, but that's not a deal-breaker for me. The pan simply sits on the ground or floor.• I did put some acrylic latex sealer on the pan before putting the nut on, but only because I don’t want to have to disassemble it if a leak does develop later.• The ability to roll my plants under a covered area or in to the garage during colder weather is quite a nice feature.I believe this to be one of those products that was thoughtfully and carefully designed, not just to enter the field with the other drain pans, but to be the solution that may of us were / are seeking.Rusted out and bent in less than a year. Wheels and pallet bent under weight of approx 100lbs. Rusted out fast even under covered patio with drain spout open all the time.Super strong and sturdy. These are well-built and can easily handle large heavy pots. The wheels are more of a urethane and not hard. They roll smoothly and will not scratch flooring. I wish there was an option to plug/eliminate the drain tube at the pan (mostly for aesthetic reasons), but the drain tube cap seems to work fine, and I am able to rotate the caddy so the drain tube isn't easy to see. FYI - There is also a drip pan to place under the drain tube just in case of a drip or two (but I haven't seen any), so that's a good insurance measure. I would buy these again. After spending a good amount of time searching for a decent wheeled plant stand for two, large, indoor citrus trees in ceramic pots, I came across the morntek plant caddy. I needed a caddy that could accomodate up to a 15 inch pot base and could hold more than 150 lbs, which seemed to be a tall order (most I found were made of flimsy plastic and had a max weight of 50-150 lbs). I also preferred if the stand had a built in drip tray since both of my trees are exclusively indoors. After discovering I didn't have many options, I decided to give these plant stands a try. Upon unboxing I was happy to discover that the stand is sturdy and has rubber wheels (this means that to keep the stand from moving around I only need to turn one wheel and it won't go anywhere, not locking wheels, but it gets the job done). The stand was easy enough to assemble, though you need to make sure that the rubber washer is installed on top of the hole (not underneath), so that the pressure of the water and the pressure of the nut is holding it down to seal any gaps. I had read that some people had found leaks, so I filled the stands with water and left them for awhile to check after assembly. No leaks. Both stands seem to be holding my, very heavy, trees without trouble and are still easy to move around. Time will tell if they wear well.I don't remember reading that wheels have to be tightened all the time. One bent and I almost lost my plants. I am waiting for a heavy duty style before I can add a photo. The caddy is very sturdy and user friendly. The draining hole is a plus. It is very easy to move around. It is the best among all other more than three types purchased. Highly recommended!
