I would not use the included floor pads on carpet as it causes the stand to lay a bit unevenly on the floor. I would also use an actual wrench, rather than the flimsy one that comes included with the stand, to thoroughly tighten the screws on the bottom and back in place to ensure the stand is as stable as possible. Even still, it will wobbly slightly so I would place a heavy plant on the very bottom and very top to help keep it in shape before beginning to fill out the sides.With that in mind, it's a good stand for the price. Mine currently houses an 8 inch pot with two pothos varieties on top, a croton mammy, a fittonia, a spiderplant and a small Chinese evergreen on the sides, with a succulent arrangement and humidifier on the bottom. So far there have been no issues and the metal does not feel hot to the touch even in direct sunlight, so you won't have to worry about it scorching your plant. I'm a big fan of the layout since you can have one side facing the sun and another facing away, using the plants on the side closer to your light source to filter the light to the other side. This makes plants less tolerant of direct sun, like my fittonia, much happier and less likely to get sun scorched.I purchased this plant stand, obviously for my plants, but also because of the shape. It fits great into small spaces and is very sturdy. The downside to this is product is in the way it's put together. The plant "seats" are folded down from the top and rest into grooves. The grooves on mine were not deep enough, so the "seats" were not straight, they tilted towards the center of the plant stand. My husband had to grind off some of the extra metal to make the grooves deeper and straighten up the plant seats. Otherwise, the plants would have just slid right off.Great for medium/small pots that don’t weigh a lot.Disadvantages:1. Assembly required additional reinforcements that were not included in order to be sturdy enough to hold the plants (my hubby knew HOW to get it to be sturdier--I wouldn't have known)2. Not much room between shelves; limited on the plants that are smallest fitting properlyAdvantages:Style (I like that it's not wide)Love this ! So easy to put together and move around. Not to small or big fits perfecting in front of my window. Does not tilt with plants on the standLove the height, shelves tip toward the center and aren't level even though the stand is. Seems fairly sturdy and is very light weight. Just wish the shelves didn't tip inward even with a heavy pot its still noticeable but with a bigger pot won't be too much of a problem since it can't slide off.Like that it’s not bulky and can fit in small spaces.I love this stand and it looks perfect with my other stands and my plants are secure and literally this stand stays in place no rocking or tilting.
