What’s not to love about this easy to care for palm?! Your Guide to European Palm Care Care: Low Maintenance Light: 4 to 6 hours of direct sunlight please! Full sun is preferable, however the European Fan Palm can tolerate partial shade as well. Water: During the spring and summer seasons keep your palm moist. When fall and winter come along you can water when the top 2 inches of soil feel dry. This palm is sensitive to overwatering so be careful to keep the soil moist, but not soggy. Once established this palm is drought tolerant. Temperature: While this hardy palm is able to withstand extreme temperatures (down to 10F), if given a choice, it prefers warm days of 70 to 80F and cool evenings of 50 to 60F. Humidity: The European Fan Palm plant prefers average/normal humidity (approx. 40-50%). If you chose to grow yours inside, you may need to provide some. Feeding: Fertilize monthly during spring and summer. Not a super hungry plant.
